3rd Hobbit Production Video Released and It's the Best One Yet!

In the latest Hobbit production video to be posted on Peter Jackson's Facebook wall, we meet the Dwarves face to face. Actually, we get a lot of face time. While Jackson is in the UK working with some familiar faces (keep an eye out towards the end of the video) the rest of the Hobbit cast share their thoughts on filming, becoming Dwarves, and working with each other. Is it just me, or does this video get you revved up for December 14, 2012?

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is scheduled for release on December 14, 2012, and The Hobbit: There and Back Again on December 13, 2013.

Oin and Gloin Revealed in Latest Hobbit Film Photo

Just a day after the three Dwarf brothers Nori (Jed Brophy), Ori (Adam Brown), and Dori (Mark Hadlow) photo was revealed, another one has hit the web. This time we get a glimpse of Oin (John Callen) and Gloin (Peter Hambleton). 

Yahoo Movies, who broke the story, gave this summary: "Distant cousins of Thorin Oakenshield, these two doughty Northern Dwarves join the Company out of a sense of loyalty to their kin, and also because they have a substantial sum of money invested in the venture. Along with Bombur, Gloin is the only other married Dwarf in the Company (there being a shortage of female Dwarves in general). His wife is an acclaimed beauty with a particularly fine beard. Gloin is the proud father of a young son, Gimli, who will go on to become part of the famous Fellowship of the Ring."

Bid on Autographed Copy of 'The Hobbit' and Help Christchurch Recover

To help those affected by the February earthquake that struck the south island of New Zealand, the Hobbit cast has signed a beautifully bound copy of ‘The Hobbit’ for Rise Up Christchurch. Alongside their autographs, many of the cast wrote personal notes to Christchurch. Here are some examples:

Sir Ian McKellen went even as far to sketch a full page drawing of Gandalf enjoying some long bottom leaf with the message, “love from Middle Earth Ian McKellen 2011”. Other autographs include Sir Christopher Lee, Mark Hadlow, Jed Brophy and more.
